On Tuesday I was playing against the girls at practice...having a fairly good practice, I might add.... and then it happened. I went up for a rebound and landed on some girls foot. Immediately I knew I had sprained my ankle, but I wasn't quite sure how bad it was. I tried to walk it off, but it was still hurting. So...my Mom took me to the E.R.
Two and a half hours later it was determined that I had indeed broken my ankle.
The E.R doesn't cast so I left with this AWESOME temporary cast.
Today, my Mom took half a day off work to take me to my follow-up appointment with Dr. Rolsten. Needless to say, we've become really good friends throughout the span of my athletic career.
It's pretty swollen and kind of cocked to the side right now. Hopefully it'll straighten out soon!

well, if it doesn't straighten out, then maybe it will even out your other crooked foot when you run :)
wow, that looks painful! 6 weeks will fly by. in the mean time you can still teach the girls how to shoot free throws ;)
Hi there,I am currently in a hard cast for a broke foot and started off with the boot but after a week I switched and the hard cast is much better and more comfortable. The boot was heavy and itchy and my doctor said it will heal better in the hard cast.who knows. How are you feeling? Feel free to write back if you like.
