Long Overdue!
After a year of waiting, Adam finally got a new car. In the past 12 months, Adam had completely rebuilt the engine, put new tires, rotors, belts, etc. on his car... you name it, it was replaced. Perhaps the breaking point was when Adam's car was towed and fixed twice in a two week period. We decided that we weren't going to put anymore money into his car. It was time that Adam traded in his 1997 Chevy Cavalier, with 180,000+ miles, for something different.
And this is what Adam picked out! A 2007 Chevy Colorado. It was a huge and much deserved upgrade for him! He is really excited about his new ride! Who knows...maybe we can actually take his car somewhere for a change? :)

GO COLTS!
Last Friday night, I had the chance of a lifetime! Being the huge Indianapolis Colts fan that I am, I just had to go! A local Indianapolis band had written a song about the Colts going to the Super Bowl..and they wanted fans to be in a music video for it. They had two filmings, but I was only able to make one. My awesome friend Bonnie went along, was a trooper, and danced the night away. It was a little comical, but also fun! Adam would have went, but he was tuckered out. Here are some shots of the night.
Instantaneously I turned into a groupie!

Our Insanity Progress
After nearly 3 weeks of INSANITY...I still ask myself..WHY?! The workout is very intense. So intense that in the first week, Adam lost 13 lbs, and I lost 8. However, with the constant rush of our schedule, we were unable to stick to the strict diet..and we haven't seen near as much change as we had hoped. Unfortunately, I found out the other day that I have to have ankle surgery that involves placing some hardware in my ankle. So needless to say, my days with Insanity are numbered.
This is what I look like after a workout.... and yes, Reggie is very concerned for my health.

Filled with INSANITY!
Adam and I had New Year's resolution: to be healthier. Since neither of us is involved in playing a sport anymore, we needed to find a workout program that would be challenging for us.
That is where we found this workout:
Insanity! It's a 60 day program. It is complete with 12 extreme workouts and a nutrition guide. These workouts focus on three main areas: cardio, core, and plyometrics. The nutrition plan calls for 5 small meals a day. I'm not sure if Adam is super pumped about the meals that are prepared, but he assures me that he is committing himself to the program.
We both are super excited about starting our new program! Tomorrow the real action will begin and hopefully we'll get great results at the end of the program. (I'm not quite sure how well I will actually do, considering that my ankle is still broken, but I will try my best!)
We'll save the before and after pictures until the program is finished!

An Eventful Last Couple of Days
We have been soooo busy the last couple of days... we're going to need to go back to work to take some time off :). Here's what we've been up to:
On Tuesday, Steve and Judy stopped by our house on their way home from Lafayette. They hadn't seen it since August, so we gladly gave them a tour and showed off what we had done with the house. Ryan came along with them, and we all went out for dinner. It was great seeing them again!
On Wednesday, Bonnie had to go to Indianapolis because she was having eye problems. It turns out that her retina was detaching and she would later have to have surgery. Me being the awesome friend that I am, :), volunteered to watch Cayson while she was in Indy all day. Here are some pics from that adventure:

Winter Wonderland
Who knew that owning a house involve doing so much shoveling?!
Adam put his Christmas gift (a nice new shovel) to work, and cleared off our driveway.
He was so good at what he was doing, that I didn't even bother to help :)
I took Reggie and Rolen outside to watch Adam shovel. After a while, they were cold and went inside. This is how I found them... Reggie, all curled up on his bed.
And Rolen, hiding from the cold weather under the bed. I can't say that I blame them. It was so cold outside!

And yes... Adam did finish the driveway...and it looks GREAT!

Merry Christmas!
For our first Christmas as husband and wife..we traveled South for the holidays! It had been a few months since we had traveled down to Southern Indiana, and we were very excited to see everyone!
Our first stop was at Adam's Mom's in Evansville. We enjoyed watching movies, playing card games...and of course, eating!
Reggie and Rolen enjoyed their holiday...and got lots of goodies!
Eric, Reggie, Adam, Grandma Baxter and I all took a break from unwrapping gifts to pose for a picture.
Eric was so excited to see his big brother!
We got lots of good gifts...so good, even Rolen wanted a peek!
Eric loves to take pictures..even if I just woke up :)
We didn't remember our camera for the Kilian Christmas, but we had an awesome time! We traveled to Jasper to Granny and Grandpa Kilian's. We enjoyed a great meal and had so much fun just spending time with everyone in the family!
On the 26th, we got up bright and early to travel back home where we would go to Elwood Christmas with my Mom's side of the family. Once we were done there, we traveled to Cadiz to have Christmas with the Miller's. By that point...we were too full to even think about eating..so we got right down to visiting and opening gifts! Once again, we got SO MANY awesome gifts. But the gifts were overshadowed by just being able to visit with our family.
We had such a great Christmas...we are truly blessed and have so much to be thankful for.
